A
EROBICS INSTRUCTOR O.J. O’Gilvie ensured that it was
a real Sweatfest on Saturday at the Life Fit Training Centre,
as he took The Gleaner’s Fit 4 Life team and guests through
a heart-pumping routine that worked every muscle and had
everyone sweating from head to toe.
In fact, participants got no mercy from O.J., fitness guru Juliet
Cuthbert Flynn or fitness coach
Marvin Gordon, who took turns
giving everyone a well-deserved
workout, from warm-up to high-
impact aerobics, and straight
into the challenges.
It was a race against the clock
for the WATA challenge, the
fittest of the fit for the legwork
challenge and who could keep
up in the mix-it-up body weight
challenge.
In the end, the winners earned
prizes such as: an Active fitness band from Asafa Powell,
gift baskets from sponsors Foska Oats and Blue
Diamond Almond Milk, Fit 4 Life T-shirts, free
health evaluation from Advantage Physical
Therapy and Rehabilitation, Life Fit
membership, and
Gleaner
-branded
merchandise.
Throughout
the morning,
participants kept
hydrated, thanks to
Fit 4 Life sponsor
WATA, and had their energy renewed with
power shakes, courtesy of sponsors Foska Oats
and Blue Diamond Almond Milk.
Participants also got handouts with nutrition
and exercise tips, courtesy of Fit 4 Life, and
complimentary copies of
