The Gloucester Avenue outlet has been highly anticipated,and much will be touted about the new franchise to the Jamaican landscape in the coming weeks.

Fit 4 Life Sweat Fest

O’Gilvie ensured that it was a real Sweatfest on Saturday at the Life Fit Training Centre, as he took The Gleaner’s Fit 4 Life team and guests through a heart-pumping routine that worked every muscle and had everyone sweating from head to toe. In fact, participants got no mercy from O.J., fitness guru Juliet Cuthbert Flynn or fitness coach Marvin Gordon, who took turns giving everyone a well-deserved workout, from warm-up to high- impact aerobics, and straight into the challenges. It was a race against the clock for the WATA challenge, the fittest of the fit for the legwork challenge and who could keep up in the mix-it-up body weight challenge. In the end, the winners earned prizes such as: an Active fitness band from Asafa Powell, gift baskets from sponsors Foska Oats and Blue Diamond Almond Milk, Fit 4 Life T-shirts, free health evaluation from Advantage Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, Life Fit membership, and Gleaner -branded merchandise. Throughout the morning, participants kept hydrated, thanks to Fit 4 Life sponsor WATA, and had their energy renewed with power shakes, courtesy of sponsors Foska Oats and Blue Diamond Almond Milk.
