Beef cattle farmer Elizabeth ?Betty? Wildish accepts congratulations from Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries Robert  Montague after creating history yesterday when she was adjudged National Champion Farmer, at age 75 being the oldest person to take this prestigious award. Sharing in the occasion is longtime friend ?????? Rainford, chairman and CEO of the Jamaica Livestock Association. The still active White who has been involved in cattle farming for 40 years, more than twice the age of National Junior Champion Farmer, 24-year-old Nicholas Powell, told the Gleaner that due to work commitments on the St. Ann farm she would not be able to come to Denbigh today.
