Scores of squatting settlements are at risk of flooding and collapse as Jamaica is expected to be affected by the outer bands of Tropical Storm Tomas, which might dump rain on the island later this week. Only a month ago, the island was drenched by Tropical Storm Nicole, which claimed the lives of more than a dozen Jamaicans.
